Yu-Gi-Oh Ultimate masters 2006 is yet another card game from the Yu-Gi-Oh universe. In this game there is no tutorial, so new players may not understand how it works.
So basically there are two players with their own decks that contain from 40 to 80 cards. Both players draw 6 cards on the beginning of the match and have 8000 life points. The goal of the game is to reduce your enemy life points to zero. Match is divided in rounds and rounds are divided in phases. Each round is started by the next player and within his turn he must go through some phases (not every phase is mandatory). In some phases player can place cards on the field and use them according to their type and effect.
There are many more rules, but it's a description and I suppose I should focus on overall. There are 6 game modes: duel against AI, duel against other player, puzzle duel, survival duel, limited duel and theme duel. Each has their own rules, but every game mode is somehow related to original rules. There is no story in this game, so it only focuses on duels.
