: Spyro's holiday in the sun is actually cut short after receiving a magic
: balloon from good friend Zoe that alerts him to a new and dangerous
: threat. All of the fairies in the dragon realm have been frozen and they
: now need the little purple dragon to once again save the day. It seems
: that a lowly Rhynoc spell librarian named Grendor, full of delusions of
: grandeur, had taken the opportunity for major career advancement while
: Spyro was away.

: After finding a transformation spell in the Sorceress' vast magic
: library, Grendor was about to alter his once feeble and meager body into
: a massive tower of strength and power -- that is until he realized the
: book was upside-down -- resulting in the would-be arch-villain obtaining
: two heads and a constant migraine in both of his overtly thick skulls.
: After some hectic research Rhynoc discovers that the cure for his
: headache calls for wings from a hundred fairies. Thus, this new villain
: has frozen all the fairies so his minions can go out and collect their
: wings with hopes that he'll be able to create a new spell to relieve his
: pain.

: Spyro, of course, sets out during this proclaimed season of ice (as any
: good hero would), to save the day and restore tranquility to the dragon
: realm. Along the way he is joined by his dependable buddies Hunter and
: Sparx who aid him in quest through the game's 20 unique levels which
: include Lava Prairie, Hummingbird Fort, Honey Marsh, Roman Holiday, Star
: Peak, Space Age Speedway, and Ant Farm among others.
