Game Description & Reviews:
Sonic last entry in the 8-bit Sega consoles was also the last game to be released for the Game Gear, and one of the last for the Master System.
In Sonic Blast, we follow Sonic or Knuckles through 6 stunning and incredible looking stages. This time Sonic and Knuckles are prerendered characters, making them look 3D in a 2D setting. This, together with the "Blast" moniker, was probably done and selected to capitalize on the Sonic 3D Blast name, which is a pseudo 3D entry in the 16-bit list of Sonic games, however, they don't share a single similarity.
Featuring awesome level design and a different way to adquire the Chaos Emeralds (via a nice pseudo 3D environment), this game is sure to be good, while keeping the difficulty on par with other games of Sonic's library.
The difference between this release and the Master System version is obviously the screen size, and the coloring of characters and environments as the Game Gear was capable of showing more colors.
Fully rendered graphics thrust Sonic into an exciting 3D playing environment. An all new gameplay perspective puts you in the middle of Sonic's 3D adventure! The evil genius Robotnik is after the Chaos Emeralds and it's up to Sonic to stop him. Rescue the innocent Flickies before Robotnik turns them into part of his evil plan!
