Game Description & Reviews:
Mario's Tennis for the Virtual Boy is a decent Tennis game featuing mario and characters from the mario universe. For a VB game it is pretty decent. It still has that obnoxious red color, but the gameplay is good. Standard tennis and you can select some characters from the mario universe. For what it is, it is one of the better games on the VB. Give it go if you haven't.
Mario's Tennis (Japan, USA) is a game that was developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo. This game features Mario and others in the Tennis sport.
An awesome game that was a pack-in with the Virtual Boy upon release. Using a similar player roster to Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, you pit Mushroom Kingdom-ites, and Italian American plumbers alike against eachother in singles or doubles or some sort of archaic battle-sport.
The 2-player feature was never implemented (no link cable was ever relesaed for the system in it's year long run) so look forward to finding the computer's weakness and repeatedly taking advantage of it while barely learning the fundamentals of Tennis.
The tennis ball also comes right at the screen when it approaches you so you may find it diffucult to find out where the ball actually is. The opacity, shade of red, size and (presumably) the 3D effect of the ball are the determining factors of it's position, but it will take you some time to figure out exactly when you swing.
