How to Play this Game ?
Game Description & Reviews:
Welcome! This is a kickass, high speed (470 km/h!) fun racing game. This is the first of the series and it's quite a good start.
Pick one of four cars with different acceleration/max speed ratio, your difficulty and you're ready to go!
Speed through 15 courses, some of which are a blast, some of which are rage inducing. Props to you if you can finish the Fire Field 1st...
It's got two problems, though: If your opponents crash into you, forget about regaining control anytime soon. That leads to a second problem: the difficulty. It normally wouldn't come as an issue but given how hard it is to stay in lead and how hard it is to regain it once you've lost it you may find yourself replaying it quite a bit. Specially since in order to advance you must finish all races 3rd or above. But don't be afraid, it's actually a lot of fun.
Recommended for racing games fans! And anyone who enjoys good chiptunes!
I'm a hero in the F-Zeroooo!!
The game that started it all, this release on the SNES in the early 90's sparked a game series that continued to push the speed envelope in video games and still holds fairly high standards even today. F-Zero is praised as possibly one of the most innovative racing game to be developed on this console. The music and characters (such as Captain Falcon, Samurai Goroh, Pico, and Dr. Stewart) are timeless as well as some of the hallmark tracks (Mute City, Big Blue, Fire Field, Sand Ocean, Red Canyon). Each F-Zero machine is unique and has its own acceleration and max speed capabilities as well as handling characteristics. There are three leagues with 5 courses each and 4 different difficulty classes The courses have fairly quick laps, but depending on the difficulty, your position can change in a heartbeat if you aren't careful. Some courses have a few different versions that offer challenges the other ones don't. The AI can be pretty fierce on Master class but if you manage to come in first, then you are an F-Zero master. Personally I had a blast playing it and I still enjoy the quick F-Zero session in between other games and whatnot. Do I recommend this game? Of course I do. Anyone into high-speed racing games or the F-Zero series should play this. 5/5
