Many of you might have heard of Playstation DataCenter. It is definitely the best resource on the internet for information on Sony Playstation 1 titles. The site is replete with information ranging from Serial Numbers, title launch dates, CD track information, title descriptions and much more. I'm happy to announce today that PSX DataCenter has now moved to the emuparadise network and can be found at it's new address psxdatacenter.emuparadise.me. This site is an ongoing project to index every Playstation title ever created. Definitely worth contributing to, and we're happy to be a part of it. It gives me great pleasure today to announce a brand new addition to Emuparadise. The Gamers' Voice - a section where we dare to speak out! It's been years now that most major gaming magazines and publications are bought out by the industry. One only has to look at the slew of 9.5/10 and 10/10 ratings to realize that there is definitely something wrong with the way things are being done. The Gamers' Voice adds a fresh angle to it all! We are unbiased, unaffiliated, and brutally honest. In the new section we shall be bringing to you News, Interviews, Opinion Pieces, Community Blogs/Write-ups, Reviews and much more! Perfect timing! Just as we launched emuparadise.me on mobile - Popular Science wrote about us in an article about playing retro games on Android! In case you missed the previous update, emuparadise is now fully available on mobile devices (Android, iOS, etc.) and this means that you can directly download games to supported devices! Emuparadise goes Mobile! |
It's a great day for everyone! After a few design changes (down to 2 columns, from 3) we've finally migrated to a mobile friendly design. What this means for all our Android and other mobile users is that you can now use emuparadise to download ROMs, ISOs, Games, Gaming Music, Comics, Guides, etc. directly to your mobile devices! Try it out, just open Emuparadise.me on your mobile device and you'll see our mobile layout! It's fully functional - just like the main site, but presents a much more mobile friendly readable version. The mobile site is based on a fully responsive design that the main site uses. So we're able to run two versions of the site using a single design. It's pretty awesome and works quite well we believe! So epforums and emuparadise are both now completely mobile friendly. Let me know in the comments if you're facing any issues with the new mobile system. We have more awesome news coming in 2012 so stay tuned folks! What're you waiting for ? Whip out those mobile devices and start downloading your ROMs straight onto them! |
Search Suggestions and Emulator Suggestions! |
I promised earlier that I would be making major improvements to emuparadise this year. Well, we already launched epforums on mobile and now I've implemented two new features on the site that I hope our users will enjoy. The main new feature is search suggestions. I've written new functionality that will train and learn the most popular searches from our users and then offer suggestions 'google-style'. I will be making improvements to this feature in the coming weeks as well. As you type in words above you should start seeing suggestions show up. We're still 'training' the system so it'll take a few days for it to amass enough information for all kinds of searches. Do give it a shot though by typing in some keywords in the search box above! Next, I've added to every game page our "Emulator Recommendations". These are powered by suggestions from our users and every game page will show you the best emulators for that game on each platform, provided we have enough data to display this to you. You'll see this recommendation right above the "Emulators (Quick Downloads)" section on each game information page. This feature is for users and by users -- so if you know the best emulator for any game, do please hit the right one under "Suggest an emulator" on the game information page. As our first big step into 2012, we've taken epforums onto mobile platforms with a fully featured mobile style. The style will load by default if you are on a mobile device. No more pinching and zooming required! It will work natively on most mobile phones. We hope that this new addition will make your epforums experience much better!
