Mystery Quest (USA) ROM

Mystery Quest is something similar to an easier version of Super Mario Bros., and it could have appealed to some very young players. The protagonist has trouble with much of the local wildlife, but wears a huge smile and can defeat enemies with strange projectiles or sometimes by jumping on them. The game requires exploration of the graphics to uncover hidden tricks that are necessary to complete some levels. It is similar to most other Taxan games in having relativley simple graphics, animations, and gameplay for the time of release. This American version is shorter than the Japanese version (Hao Kun no Fushigina Tabi).
