The Punisher arcade game is still the greatest side scroller ever. It was censored and wasn't done justice on the consoles. So if you found this treasure don't hesitate to download it.
This game let's u play as my child hood hero The Punisher and for some reason the guy that keeps replacing him in more recent marvel games Nick Fury. Together with violence not seen since Splatterhouse, they embark on a mission to fight crime. Both characters have there own moves and grapples and specials and the best variety of weapons out of any other side scroller youll ever play.
This game beats all the Double Dragon games hands down. DOWNLOAD IT NOW!!!

The Punisher is essentially Final Fight with better characters. There isn't much more to this game than being a straight beat 'em up, but it was never intended to be anything else. You play as either The Punisher or Nick Fury and are dropped immediately into a sea of bad guys that must be PUNISHED!
There are some classic bosses appearing here, such as Bonebreaker and The Kingpin, as well as a few sections that let you empty some clips into the enemy. This serves to break up the decadent monotony of pounding in faces and helps keep the gamer interested.
If you are a fan of side scrolling brawlers or big, bad Frank Castle, you will not be disappointed here.
