Persona 2 Eternal Punishment is the second chapter of Persona 2 which takes place after Persona 2 Innocent Sin which was released in Japan in 1999. But don't worry, enough of the happenings of the first chapter are mentioned here so that you can get a grasp of what's going on. The story is set three years after the first Persona and Sumaru City is under a curse.

If you thought the original Persona was, well original then you're in for a surprise. Persona II follows much of the same game mechanics but does the same stuff even better. The best part is non-linear gameplay. There are rumourmongers all over the city who, if you talk to can effect a change in the storyline and how the game eventually works out.

The final verdict should be pretty succinct by now. Persona II is not your average joe RPG. Infact, I would go on to say that it's a title that dares to be different. So if you're looking for a title which is exploring areas off the beaten path, Persona II is just the right package for you.
