Game Description & Reviews:
Bahamut Lagoon is a tactical RPG with minor differences that set it apart from others in its genre. The battle system for example has the normal abilities like attack, special power, defend, item, and magic. When two characters have the same type of ability and are adjacent they can join in to multiply the damage. The downside to this game is the lack of a world map and a very linear progression. Another thing to note is the dragons themselves which you can feed and transform into higher and more powerful forms. Once you've upgraded them you can't undo it and when in combat it can be frustrating using them. They have very simple commands such as come and attack, which the AI can be improved with giving food to increase intelligence. Although they may still not do exactly what you want in combat, sometimes even throwing themselves too far into enemy lines alone and overwhelmed. If a dragon is slain during combat the one who was linked to it will have a significant drop in fighting ability as the stats are tied together. Plus any special ability that they gave the character will be unusable. If you can get past the awkward battle failings this is a pretty decent game. The translations are smooth enough that it is almost seamless throughout the game. Some conversations sound a little awkward which gives it away, but it can also make the conversation funnier than it already might have been.
