Game Rating System Added, Descriptions fixed
Posted by MasJ @ Tue, 24 Feb 2009 | Message Boards

To make your experience here at emuparadise more user friendly, I've added a rating system to the game pages today. From now on, our users shall be able to rate the games that they download on a scale of 1 to 5. This of-course will help new users know which titles are worth checking out since a lot of people like to get an idea of the best titles for any particular system.

Also, the description addition system was broken (I don't know for how long..) but I've fixed it so that you can now once more submit descriptions to emuparadise. In case you weren't aware of this feature, here's what it's all about. You can write descriptions for your favourite titles [or ones you hate too =] and submit them to emuparadise. Our team of moderators will quickly check your submission (because sometimes we get rubbish in there :P) and then approve them for display. Once approved your name, along with your submission and assigned rating appears on the game page and well, everyone's happy :)

So please, do go ahead, add descriptions and rate the titles that you download. Lets get this thing on the road folks!

Posted by MasJ @ Fri, 20 Feb 2009 | Message Boards

In yet another huge update I've added roms/isos for the Amiga CD32, Apple ][ & Sharp X68000 systems. The CD32 was the first 32-bit CD based console to be released (only in Europe..) and thus the complete collection of CD32 titles weigh in at about 25GB of data! The Apple ][ was released in 1976 and had many great titles available for it. The Sharp X68000 though not heard of much in western countries was a huge hit in Japan. You can find titles for all these systems and more at our Roms Section.

ScummVM Set Added!
Posted by MasJ @ Fri, 13 Feb 2009 | Message Boards

In keeping with our tradition for keeping old games alive, I've added all the working titles supported by ScummVM to our roms section. This includes classics such as The Curse of Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Leisure Suite Larry and more! A total of 416 titles have been added including regional versions of games in French, Italian, German, etc. The number of unique titles weighs in somewhere around 208 and these include titles for the Amiga, Mac and PC as well.

You can grab ScummVM from here (Windows) and then have a great time this weekend with these classic adventure titles! (our ScummVM Section)

ScummVM is also available for Linux, Mac OS, and other platforms such as the PSP, Nintendo DS, iPhone, etc. So it's definitely worth a look to see if you fancy playing any of these classic titles on your customised hardware.

270 ISOs: 3DO & CD-i Sections added!
Posted by MasJ @ Mon, 09 Feb 2009 | Message Boards

Over the weekend, I've added a whopping 72GB of ISO's that are basically Panasonic 3DO and Philips CD-i titles. These were some of the first CD-based systems released in the early 90's. They were extremely advanced for the time (CD's were expensive) and thus were unaffordable for most of the general populace. Even though neither of these consoles took off too well, they did manage to get a bunch of decent titles. Infact, the CD-i even had two Zelda games on it's list! [Which we have available @ EP, ofcourse!]

-> Panasonic 3DO (3DO Interactive Multiplayer) ISO Section (141 titles)
-> Philips CD-i ISO Section (129 titles)

Dreamcast USA Collection - Rapidshare Links!
Posted by MasJ @ Fri, 06 Feb 2009 | Message Boards

Sprung, from our forums just let me know that he's been working diligently, uploading EVERY US Dreamcast release to Rapidshare. He's listed all the links in a thread @ EPForums and well you can head there and rapidleech these links if you're interested. From the thread:

This thread contains Rapidshare links to every Dreamcast game released in the USA. All games are tested and verified working, and 100% compatible with any Dreamcast that is MIL-CD compatible. Check here for MIL-CD information.

We also have every Dreamcast US release (also uploaded by Sprung) hosted here at emuparadise. However, you're likely to get better speeds at rapidshare and also end up saving some of our precious bandwidth by using the links provided in the thread :D

So take your pick, you won't regret it either way. Don't forget to thank Sprung on your way in!
