Choose your preferred server location

We're always working hard to bring you the fastest downloads. This time around, I've added an option for you to choose your server location. On any game download page, you can click on the button that says "Edit download settings", and then set your preferences!

The default settings are, Server Type: HTTP, Server Location: Autoselect

Autoselect will try to choose the best server for you based on server load and your location. However, there are times that North/South American users get better downloads off our Europe server and European/Asian/etc. users can download faster off our North American servers. From now on, that shouldn't be a problem!

Set your preferred server (we will save your preference!) and you can download at the best possible speed!

We used to run all our downloads through ftp back in the day because it's just more reliable, what with it being called file transfer protocol. However, many of our users did not have ftp access and therefore we had to make the switch to http. Enter complaints about interrupted downloads, corrupted files, and more.

So what's the solution ? You choose! :)

I've just added a new feature that allows you to choose whether you'd like to download files using http or ftp.

HTTP is usually fine for smaller files. Downloads startup quicker and are quite reliable.
FTP is really good for larger files. Downloads may take a few seconds to start but will progress smoothly (and sometimes faster!) from there on.
You set your preference and we'll remember it for all your downloads.
You can change your preference at any time!

It was announced a few weeks ago that a new ePSXe release was in the works. Well, it finally happened! There's a brand new version of this awesome Playstation emulator. Here's what's new:

Faster server for N./S. American users

I've just finished putting up a brand new server which will provide faster downloads for our North and South American users. This server will mostly be used for larger files like PS2 and GCN ISOs and already we have our USA PS2/GCN ISOs being streamed really fast off this new server. I've tested the server for USA, Canada and Brazil and the speeds are really great!

Before our European and Asian users call foul - you guys already had great speeds since our uplinks to the EU and Asia are pretty good.

So, going forward - our North and South American users should definitely see great speed improvements (we had some speed issues the past month..) for larger files. Hope this helps improve your emuparadise experience! :)

Massive PS2 Europe Update [2460 new titles!]

I had hinted to our regulars that there was a massive PS2 update in the works. Well, it's time to rejoice as the new additions are finally here! We've just added 2460 new PS2 PAL titles. Some are from Europe and the others are from Australia. This update comes in at over 3.3TB worth of files!

I'm not going to list them here since there are way too many new titles, but you can see them all by browsing our PS2 ISOs section.

Browse emulators by platform

Ever wondered what systems you can emulate on your Nintendo DS ? How about your PS3 ?

Well, now you can browse our emulators section by platform. What this means is that you can choose to see all the systems that can be emulated on a particular platform and then get emulators for that platform.

All you need to do is select "Browse by platform" in our emulators section and then whether it's windows, mac os, or your psp, you'll see everything that you need to get started! :)

MAME CHDs updated to 0.146

Our last CHD update had us at MAME 0.141, meaning that we were carrying CHDs for most titles supported by that version of MAME. Now, I've updated our entire set with CHDs up until MAME 0.146. CHDs are compressed hard disk images for arcade games and are often required for some games. Also, since these are actual hard disk images, they are often very large (1GB-30GB!) in size.
