The new version of MAME came out a few days ago and as always, we've updated the MAME set on the site to 0.150! We'll have an update pack for you as well in a few days but for now, there have been tons of additions so I won't list them here.

Also, a lot of our users were having trouble before because our MAME ROMs come as a split set. What this means is that there are several variations of a game that may require a parent ROM. What would end up happening is that sometimes users would download ROMs and end up without the parent ROM and thus MAME would report an error about missing files.

Now, we show you the parent ROMs for each and every ROM we have. That way, you know *exactly* which files you need to get to make sure a particular ROM works for you. It looks like this:

We're always adding new content and making it easier to get through all the diverse stuff that we have on the site. Today, I've added a new feature that lets you add Emuparadise Search to your browser! That way, you can directly search the site - whenever you want - through your browser search bar!

I've got a pretty awesome update for you all today! Isn't it frustrating when you want to play patched NES or SNES Roms ? Maybe you want to play Tales of Phantasia in English or you want to play that awesome hack of a NES game. But first you need to figure out how to patch the ROM, get the right tools, see if the file is headered or not..

Well, not any longer! Thanks to one of our users who took a lot of time and effort to create these packs for you we now have pre-patched sets of NES and SNES Hacks and Translations in our Complete ROM Sets section.

We've got the NES Hacks and Translations Pack which has 637 prepatched hacks and translations.

We've also got the SNES Hacks and Translations Pack which has 380 prepatched hacks and translations.

Just grab those packs and you're on your way to some happy times without the headache of patching!

Over the past few weeks I've been adding additional bandwidth capacity, new servers, etc. to deal with our heavy server loads on weekends. What happened as a result however is that our servers are underutilized on weekdays.

So, to encourage more weekday users, just like your favorite bar on the corner, we're introducing EP Happy Hours! How does it work ? Well, when our bandwidth usage is below a certain threshold we will automatically let all free users download 2 games at a time! That's double of what you can do right now!
